Community Support Volunteer

Community Support Volunteers are responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of Pacifica.  

This may include:   
- Supporting with attendance tracking under staff direction (e.g., distributing or collecting sign-in sheets) 
- Assisting staff by providing short-term coverage during breaks (only for non-clinical, non-confidential tasks) 
- Helping set up and take down for events and programs 
- Providing light office support (e.g., preparing printed materials, organizing supplies, assembling intake binders) 
- Assisting clients with general chores and community activities under staff supervision 
- Helping maintain shared spaces (e.g., organizing craft materials, tidying the gym) 
Supervising smoke breaks under staff guidance and in accordance with safety policies 
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and recovery-oriented environment by modeling respect, empathy, and collaboration, and by following staff direction and Pacifica’s values and policies. 

All tasks are carried out under the direction and supervision of Pacifica staff and are supportive in nature, not substitutive of bargaining unit member responsibilities. Any role and responsibilities are intended to complement staff-led programs and strengthen client engagement. Work will be completed in accordance with Pacifica’s volunteer policies and protocols. 

Qualifications: 
- Ability to deal with others effectively and to communicate both verbally and written in English.  
- Must have the physical abilities to perform the duties of the job (be able to stand/walk with clients. 
- Must be 19+ years old
