PACE is a peer-driven society that seeks to reduce the harm and isolation associated with sex work through education, support, and advocacy. We work to increase the health, safety, and empowerment of our members by respecting their right to self-determination and supporting their self-identified needs. As a non-profit, our volunteer board of directors is tasked with leadership and oversight of PACE Society. Currently, our board of directors is rebuilding operations after our August 2025 (temporary) closure. We are a dynamic, mostly experiential team that are passionate about social justice and sex workers rights. We currently have one seat we are looking to fill. Role: Seat on the Board of Directors for PACE Society. Please note that this is a volunteer position and there is no financial compensation. Commitment: Typically between ten to twelve hours a month, largely self directed. There are a few standing monthly meetings and education sessions (approximately four hours a month). Board tasks and meetings are typically held remotely. There are several in-person commitments a year. Qualifications/Skills that would be an asset: Firm grasp of harm reduction, decolonial work, and empowering marginalized groups through rights based services (necessary for consideration). Experience applying for grants. Fiscal responsibility experience for a charity or society Navigating and securing diverse funding streams for non for profits Media and public relations Community organizing Past board of directors experience Experiencial knowledge of sex work considered a strong asset Qualified candidates can send a brief email of interest a resume/cv to info@PACE-Society.org
