ONE TO ONE Literacy offers programming across BC that leverages the power of one-to-one connections to help children develop literacy skills and reading confidence. We envision a world where all BC children are inspired and engaged life-long learners. We are currently looking for support with recruiting volunteer tutors over late July and early August by postering in neighborhoods across the Lower Mainland. With your help, ONE TO ONE will be able to recruit more enthusiastic, compassionate, and open-minded individuals to share the joy of reading with children in their community. We are looking for community members who are: - Friendly, reliable, and approachable - Located in Vancouver, North Shore, Burnaby, Tri-Cities, Richmond and New West - Comfortable walking for a few hours and asking to put posters up in busy areas, such as libraries, local bookstores, and cafes Time commitment: This is a short-term volunteer opportunity, approximately 5-10 hours in July and August 2025. Hours are highly flexible and can be completed on your own schedule.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
This is a good opportunity for high school students wishing to complete some of their volunteer hours for graduation.
