National Deconstruction & Material Upcycling Association (NDMUA)
The National Deconstruction & Material Upcycling Association (NDMUA) is a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sustainable construction through deconstruction, material recovery, reuse, and community education. We work to reduce construction and demolition waste by promoting the recovery of reusable building materials, supporting the circular economy, and helping divert valuable resources from landfills.
We provide hands-on volunteer opportunities, training, and educational programs that allow students, newcomers, apprentices, tradespeople, and community members to gain practical experience in deconstruction, de-nailing, reclaimed lumber processing, material salvage, job site safety, and sustainable building practices. By working together with volunteers, industry partners, and local communities, NDMUA aims to build a more environmentally responsible and low-carbon construction sector for future generations.
