Volunteer for the TouchScapes Exhibition

2762 Granville Street, Vancouver,, BC, V6H 3J3 [map]
The New Art Foundation of Vancouver (NAFVan), in partnership with Voices of Hope Foundation and Canada's Walk of Fame, is delighted to invite you as a volunteer for the opening of our "TouchScapes" Exhibition.

TouchScapes is an innovative exhibition designed for individuals with visual impairments and sensory needs. The event marks the first of its kind in Western Canada, featuring 3D art objects that invite tactile exploration.

The exhibition will present seven 3D art pieces, including masterpieces by renowned artists Magritte, Picasso, O’Keeffe, and Kandinsky, and three pieces by the talented Vancouver-based artist Lily Bai. This unique experience will allow visitors to engage with art by touching and mentally recreating the paintings, offering a new dimension of appreciation. The Braille description will also be available.

"TouchScapes" is more than an exhibition; it's a movement towards inclusivity in art. By merging art with technology, we aim to create an accessible environment that challenges traditional views on accessibility and representation in the arts.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
By volunteering with us, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a pivotal moment in the art world, where you can contribute to shaping a more inclusive and diverse cultural landscape. Whether you have a passion for art, a desire to make a difference, or simply enjoy working with people, there is a place for you at TouchScapes.
