Edmonton Oilers 50/50 Ticket Seller (Make-A-Wish Canada)

Join us for an exciting volunteer opportunity at Rogers Place, where you’ll help support Make-A-Wish Canada by assisting with game-day (Edmonton Oilers vs. Detroit Red Wings) 50/50 fundraising! Volunteers play an essential role in helping raise funds that bring life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

What You’ll Do:
- Welcome guests and promote 50/50 ticket sales
- Operate handheld 50/50 machines (training provided)
- Engage with fans in a positive, upbeat manner
- Remain on the concourse for the duration of the shift (volunteers will NOT be permitted to watch the game in the arena)

Training:
Training is provided onsite 2.5 hours before selling begins by Edmonton Oilers Foundation staff. Volunteers will learn how to use the equipment and best practices for interacting with guests.

Requirements:
- Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older (IDs will be checked)
- Comfortable speaking with customers and initiating conversations
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods in a high-traffic environment
- Friendly, reliable, and motivated to support a meaningful cause
- Volunteers must stay in the building for the entirety of the game

Notes:
- No smoking in the building
- Volunteers will receive 50% off concession and will be provided with breaks in a break room
- Will primarily be standing and walking throughout the evening
- Working in teams of two
- Training on POS terminals will be provided prior to game start
- No metal water bottles with logos are permitted
