Legal Researcher (Data Collection – Legal Monitoring)

Justice 48 is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing justice, equity, and human rights for Palestinians through grassroots education, advocacy, and coalition-building. We operate at the intersection of law, public awareness, and movement strategy to support legal accountability and amplify global campaigns for Palestinian liberation. We are seeking passionate, committed volunteers to help expand our impact. 

What you will do:
The Volunteer Legal Researcher provides the evidentiary foundation for Justice 48’s advocacy. You will conduct deep-dive research into international law, human rights violations, and legislative shifts. This role is perfect for law students or legal professionals who value rigorous, fact-based justice work.
-Research international humanitarian law and human rights frameworks.
-Monitor legal developments and court rulings affecting Palestinian rights.
-Draft case summaries and briefing papers.
-Analyze complex documents and synthesize findings for advocacy teams.
-Collaborate with the team to identify strategic litigation opportunities.
-Maintain a database of legal precedents and academic resources.

Who we're looking for:
-Commitment to Palestinian rights and social justice.
-Strong research skills 
-Precision writing with the ability to produce objective legal analysis.
-Analytical mindset capable of navigating complex international frameworks.
-Preferred: Some legal background (Law student, JD/LLM candidate, or legal professional)
-English proficiency
