You must be 18 years old and older and YOU MUST LIVE IN VANCOUVER Jewish Seniors Alliance is a community service for seniors from all religious and cultural backgrounds. We are currently in need of volunteers who speak Cantonese and Mandarin , We offer a well rounded training in volunteer training with seniors. The training is offered at no cost and at the end of the training you will get a certificate.in friendly visiting. Volunteers must live in Vancouver. The training consists of five sessions all on Zoom and the sixth session is in person on Mondays and Wednesdays. Next training starting Next friendly visiting volunteer training is on Zoom, 530 pm- 830 pm starting on Monday, October 19 FV UW Training on consecutive Mondays and Wednesdays on Zoom with Thursday, November 4 in person • October 19 • October 21 • October 26 • October 28 • November 2 • November 4 For further information please contact Charles Leibovitch at charlesl@jsabc.ca or 778-840-4949 Upon completion of the training you will be matched with a Chinese senior to visit weekly as a friendly visitor.

Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
The volunteer training will provide Chinese speaking volunteers an opportunity to increase the knowledge of seniors issues. The program is excellent for students who want a career in medicine, nursing, social work and occupational therapy.
