Chinese Speaking Volunteers Needed to Visit Chinese Seniors

Jewish Seniors Alliance is a  community service for seniors from all religious and cultural backgrounds.

We are currently in need of volunteers who speak Cantonese and Mandarin ,  We offer a well rounded training in volunteer training with seniors.  The training is offered at no cost and at the end of the training you will get a certificate.

Volunteers must live in Vancouver. 

The training consists of five sessions all on zoom and the sixth session in person.

Next training in September 2025, The training is starting on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 530 pm- 830 pm continuing on September 11,16,18,23,and 25 ( Tuesdays and Thursdays) on Zoom with the sixth session on September 25 in person at our office at 800 Broadway East

Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?

The volunteer training will provide Chinese speaking volunteers an opportunity to increase the knowledge of seniors issues.  The program is excellent for students who want a career in medicine, nursing, social work and occupational therapy.
