Our organization Jewish Seniors Alliance provides training and educational opportunities for volunteers to best prepare them to visit and help seniors. Volunteers must live in Vancouver.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
To engage and reduce the isolation and loneliness of Cantonese speaking seniors by visiting seniors in their homes or going out for walks or for coffee to provide social engagement. Volunteers will be given a six day training in friendly visiting and receive a certificate in friendly visiting. The training is being offered at no cost.
