Volunteers needed for Go By Bike Week. Sept. 21-25
3.5 hours
Go by Bike Week is a week-long behaviour change campaign to encourage people to get out and ride their bikes anywhere and everywhere. Participants log trips for a chance to win great prizes, track their kilometers, and see how many greenhouse gas emissions they’ve saved. During the week, we pop up across Metro Vancouver at our Celebration stations. People stop by stations for a free bike check from a mechanic, free snacks, cycling maps, swag, and a chance to win prizes. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help at our Celebration Stations. There are going to be approximately 20 Celebration Stations set up across Metro Vancouver. Celebration Stations are spread throughout the week. Each Celebration Station is set up for 2 hours. Volunteer shifts start 45 minutes before the Celebration Stations starts and ends 30 minutes after, for a total volunteer shift of 3.25 hours.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Benefits of volunteering with HUB Cycling: 1. Light snacks available for you at the stations 2. Entries to win sweet prizes 3. A HUB Cycling T-Shirt 4. A chance to meet like-minded people and make a difference in the bike community
