Our organization is Black-owned and prioritizes Black & BIPOC artists and other people of colour and like minded organizations in terms of volunteers and collaborators.
Purpose: Fade to Black Entertainment society (FTBE) supports Black Canadian voice for artists to share their talents and story; designed to promote and produce Afro Canadian artists in the pacific north west; in music, film and new media, inter-arts that express culture and story with emerging and professional individuals along with like-minded organizations in Canada and around the globe. We've been putting on events in Vancouver, BC, since 2000 that encourage unity and a collective expression. Rallying, connecting and collaborating with Afro Canadian artists into working together in our on going film & music showcase.
At the core of our organization we aim to uplift the Black community in Vancouver by organizing events in collaboration with local curators, vendors, artists and musicians that bring communities together. We recently teamed up with Art Soul Methods a BIPOC collective of artisan vendors. We recognize that we are part of the larger African diaspora in the world and that by coming together and celebrating different aspects of our experiences, we strengthen each other. We provide a safe space for Black people from all backgrounds to express themselves with their artistic and creative endeavours. We proudly display the talents of Black people in BC, Canada and throughout the world.
