DC Coding Association is a dynamic and growing nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, high-quality STEM education to underserved communities. We aim to bridge the digital divide by empowering individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today's technology-driven world. We’re looking for a Volunteer External Liaison—a passionate, impact-driven individual who thrives on making things happen and is enthusiastic about helping others in the community. This role is ideal for someone who wants to take initiative, lead with purpose, and help expand our reach across diverse communities. You’ll communicate with other organizations and communities and find mutually beneficial opportunities.

This is a leadership role that works closely with senior management and directly shapes the direction and success of our programs. If you're a "get things done" person with strong leadership and organizational skills, and you care deeply about driving meaningful change in communities, we’d love to have you on board.

Position Type: Online
Estimated Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/week, flexible and may vary

Qualifications 
- Previous records of successful negotiations and partnerships
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on cultivating and maintaining strong relationships
- Ability to effectively persuade and collaborate with external organizations to further the goals of DC Coding with mutual benefit
- Excellent communication skills
- Responsible and reliable, with a commitment to upholding the values and mission of DC Coding

Responsibilities
- Coordinate partnerships and collaboration opportunities with external organizations, ensuring alignment with DC Coding's objectives and values.
- Serve as a liaison between external organizations and DC Coding, facilitating communication and fostering productive relationships.
- Proactively identify and pursue beneficial opportunities for DC Coding, leveraging existing networks and exploring new avenues for collaboration.
- Communicate with other communities and organizations
- Manage all aspects of public outreach efforts and organize partnerships.
