Do you enjoy teaching and working with older adults? We’re looking for a patient and enthusiastic volunteer to lead small-group classes for seniors (55+) who want to build confidence using computers, smartphones, and tablets. What you’ll do: -Teach the basics of using mobile devices, apps, and the internet -Support seniors in developing everyday digital skills—email, browsing, online safety, video calls, and more. -Create a welcoming, encouraging, and interactive learning environment. What we’re looking for: -Strong teaching or tutoring experience (formal or informal) -Clear, patient communication skills -Skill in using mobile devices (smartphones/tablets) and everyday computer use -Someone who enjoys helping older adults learn at their own pace Time commitment: -Classes typically run once a week for 1–2 hours -Flexible scheduling, depending on your availability
Additional Details & Skills Required
Prior experience teaching, tutoring, or coaching. Familiar with smartphones, tablets, and computers. Comfortable explaining everyday digital tasks such as email, web browsing, video calling, using apps, and managing files Aware of online safety and privacy best practices. Previous volunteer experience in a community or educational setting helpful.
