Better Together

Vancouver City Council unanimously approved the Better Together Neighbourhood Collective Action Project in March 2022. Better Together is a two-year pilot that will take place in 3 neighbourhoods: Downtown South, Olympic Village and Mount Pleasant.

Key Parts of the Pilot Project:

1. Neighbourhood collective action tables: Increase communication and information sharing

2. Peer stewardship program: Extra support for businesses and people in the neighbourhood

3. Education and training: Build skills and confidence to improve communication and understanding

4. Outreach and coordination: Additional support for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness

5. Neighbourhood cleanliness: Enhance sanitation through existing micro-cleaning grants to non-profits
