RBC Race for the Kids 2025 - June 8 2025
Be Mighty. Make an Impact. As an RBC Race for the Kids volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting one of BC’s most inspiring community events — all in support of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Whether you’re helping set up the festival site, cheering on racers, or handing out medals, no role is too small to make us mighty. Volunteers are the heart of this event, creating a safe, welcoming, and fun experience for participants, families, and supporters. Volunteers of all ages are welcome! Children 16 and under must have parental/guardian consent and be directly supervised by their adult at all times. All volunteers will be expected to uphold BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s values and commit to creating a safe and inclusive environment. Pre-Race Opportunities (Dates TBD): Package Pick-Up Team Help set up the package pick-up area, organize team boxes, and hand out race packages to participants. Set-Up Crew Assist with setting up tents, tables, and chairs. May include some heavy lifting. Race Day Opportunities (Race Day: September – date TBC): Route Marshalls & Traffic Management Direct participants, ensure safety, and keep the race running smoothly. Start Line Squad / Finish Line Crew Get racers energized at the start and celebrate their accomplishments at the finish! Green Team Help keep the site clean and support our sustainability efforts. Cheer Squad Bring the energy! Encourage racers with cheers, signs, and high-fives. Water Stations Keep runners hydrated and motivated. Entertainment Zone Support Support family-friendly activities at the race festival. Information Ambassadors Greet participants and help them find their way. Clean-Up Crew Leave the site better than we found it. More roles available – we’ll find a perfect fit for you!
