Chinese-Canadian RISE for BC’s Kids Campaign Radiothon Call Centre Team (Cantonese-speaking)
Make a Difference in a Child’s Life—One Call at a Time!At BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, we’re on a mission to transform health care for kids across British Columbia. Each year, we rely on the passion and commitment of volunteers to help bring our fundraising campaigns to life. This spring, we’re calling on Cantonese-speaking volunteers to lend their voices and enthusiasm to our 2025 Radiothon Call Centre Team. As part of the call centre team, you’ll be the friendly and trusted voice on the other end of the phone, connecting with past donors, expressing heartfelt thanks, and inviting renewed support for the kids and families who rely on BC Children’s Hospital. Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities Outbound Calling Call past donors in Cantonese using a script and call flow provided. Share campaign highlights, stories of impact, and encourage renewed support. Respond to questions and inspire continued giving with professionalism. Donation Processing Accurately record pledges and donor information. Assist with data entry and ensure secure handling of donor transactions. Engagement & Appreciation Thank donors warmly for their generosity. Offer information on how their support is making a difference. Promote involvement in future events and fundraising efforts. Language Support Support team members with Cantonese-English translation as needed. Serve as a resource for Cantonese-speaking callers. What We’re Looking For Fluent Cantonese speaker (verbal skills essential). Minimum 19 years of age. Willing to undergo a Criminal Record Check (CRC). Comfortable speaking on the phone and following a script. Positive, reliable, and passionate about helping kids in need. Shifts & Time Commitment Tuesdays & Thursdays in May 2025 Flexible shifts for outbound calling (details confirmed upon onboarding) Radiothon at AM1320 Radio Station, Richmond Friday, May 30: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM Saturday, May 31 (3 shift options): 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM 6:00 PM – Midnight
