HiVE Coworking Exchange Program

THE ROLE:

As a Desk Bee, you'll be the point of contact to all HiVE guests and members. During your 4.5 hour shift, you'll be at the front desk answering inquiries, giving tours, and ensuring that the kitchen and communal spaces are tidy. Training will be provided. This exchange is perfect for anyone looking to grow their network and experience.

Available shifts (you'll need to chose one consistent shift that works for you):

    Mondays, 12:45pm-5:15pm
    Tuesdays, 8:45am-1:15pm
    Tuesdays, 12:45pm-5:15pm
    Wednesdays, 8:45am-1:15pm
    Wednesdays, 12:45pm-5:15pm

Please note: The role requires using the staircase and occasionally lifting objects up to 50lbs. The HiVE space is on the third floor with no elevator access.

THE DETAILS:

As a Desk Bee, you commit to providing the HiVE with:

One 4.5 hour Desk Bee shift per week, providing general reception tasks and other duties as listed in the “Desk Bee Manual '' document and the HiVE Calendar. Shifts are either 8:45am to 1:15 pm or 12:45pm to 5:15pm, and are on weekdays only. We are closed on all statutory holidays.

Bring your “A-game” every shift. Bring your smile and sense of humour, arrive on time, be clear and professional, fulfill tasks in a timely manner, and provide top quality customer service. **Please give your full attention to HiVE-related tasks during your Desk Bee shifts (no personal phone calls or video conferences, no personal laptops, tablets, etc.).

Commitment to your scheduled shift. If you are not able to make your shift, you are responsible for informing the General Manager ASAP and finding a replacement from our community of Desk Bees. You can use the Desk Bee communications to swap shifts. If you decide that you need to break this contract for whatever reason, we require three weeks' notice so that we can fill your spot.
