Position Title: Volunteer Executive Grant Application Manager
Location: Toronto, ON / Remote (Canada-wide)
Commitment: 10–15 hours per week
Role Description:
The Canadian Institute of Medicine and Scientific Research (CIMSR) is seeking a highly sophisticated, trusted, and credentialed medical research leader to serve as our Volunteer Executive Grant Application Manager. In this elite administrative and governance role, you will oversee, direct, and expand our active multi-million dollar federal and provincial grant portfolio.
You will lead a specialized co-development team comprising MSc and PhD robotics engineers, clinical scholars, and institutional partners (including Brock University and Al-Ihsan Canadian Islamic University). Your immediate focus will be managing post-submission compliance milestones for our recently locked Department of National Defence (DND) IDEaS program files and supervising upcoming provincial innovation intakes.

Mandatory Qualifications & Educational Credentials:
To pass our strict institutional vetting and security protocols, applicants must possess at least one of the following advanced combined credentials:
MD (Medical Doctor) or MD/PhD dual degree status.
MD paired with an active Master of Surgery (M.Sc. / Ch.M.) configuration.
An advanced PhD in Clinical Medicine, Pathology, or Biomedical Engineering paired with extensive, verifiable institutional grant management experience.
Security & Operational Requirements:
Sovereign Citizenship: Applicants MUST be Canadian Citizens to satisfy federal defense security clearances (Protected B classification requirements).
Fiduciary Integrity & Trust: The successful candidate must demonstrate an impeccable, unblemished background of professional trustworthiness. You will be required to execute a strict Mutual NDA, Conflict of Interest Registry, and IP Assignment Agreement before accessing our file repositories.
Financial Flow Mandate: You will oversee the administrative execution of funding compliance. All successfully unlocked project funds are strictly hardwired to be direct-deposited securely and explicitly into CIMSR’s verified corporate banking infrastructure via our corporate RBC Royal Bank account.
