Single Seniors for Tax Fairness

Single Seniors for Tax Fairness (SSTF) is a nation-wide organization advocating for fairer taxes for single seniors. There are 3 areas of focus: making Pension Income Splitting more fair for unpartnered seniors; helping seniors who are life long renters who have never owned a home by allowing them to contribute more to a Tax Free Savings Account so that they can receive some of the same tax benefits as home owners who can sell their principle residences tax free; and allow single seniors to transfer RRSP/RRIF assets on death to a person other than a spouse.
