About Us

My Ethnic Rentals is a growing fashion rental company focused on sustainability, cultural inclusion, and circular fashion. As we scale, we are strengthening our accounting and finance processes and are looking for a motivated accounting student to support reconciliation and tax-related activities under professional supervision.This role is ideal for a student seeking hands-on accounting exposure.

Role Overview

The Accounting Student Volunteer will support  accounting operations with a strong focus on financial reconciliations and will also assist the with tax preparation and filing support tasks sent by the CPA. This is a learning-focused role with guided exposure to real-world accounting workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Reconcile bank statements with internal accounting records
- Match receipts, invoices, and expense records
- Identify discrepancies and flag issues for review
- Organize and maintain accounting and tax documentation
- Assist with tax-related support tasks, including:
         -  Preparing schedules and supporting documents
         -  Compiling information for HST/GST filings
- Assisting with year-end and compliance-related documentation
- Support month-end and year-end reconciliation activities
- Maintain confidentiality and follow basic financial data-handling guidelines

Who You Are

- Currently enrolled in a college or university accounting, finance, or business program
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets
- Organized, reliable, and eager to learn
- Interest in taxation, compliance, reconciliation.
