Virtual Streaming Moderator

Overview We are looking for a welcoming, vigilant, and digitally savvy moderator to help manage the virtual experience and foster an engaging, inclusive online community throughout NoTimeToWait 2026. As a Virtual Streaming Moderator, you will work closely with the LetsStopAIDS Tech Team to monitor live streams, support online attendees with basic platform navigation, moderate virtual chat spaces, and encourage audience participation. You will serve as an important bridge between virtual participants and the live Summit program by relaying audience questions, sharing key updates, and helping online attendees feel connected to the event. This is a specialized virtual event role for someone who is comfortable with technology, enjoys engaging online communities, and can multitask while remaining attentive to a live event. Key Responsibilities ● Monitor live chat channels and virtual audience activity across streaming platforms such as YouTube Live, Microsoft Teams, StreamYard, or similar platforms. ● Work closely with the LetsStopAIDS Tech Team to monitor the virtual experience and flag technical or participant issues. ● Welcome virtual attendees and help them navigate the online Summit experience. ● Encourage virtual audience engagement by posting discussion prompts, polls, session reminders, and relevant resources. ● Monitor chat activity and help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive online environment. ● Moderate spam, inappropriate content, disruptive behaviour, or other violations of the Summit’s virtual community guidelines. ● Monitor audience questions and relay relevant questions or comments to the appropriate stage, moderation, or production team. ● Share important announcements, session transitions, and updates with virtual attendees. ● Help create a sense of connection and participation for attendees joining the Summit remotely. ● Jump in to support other virtual event needs as required.
