Overview We are looking for a focused, fast-thinking, and detail-oriented writer to document and synthesize key discussions, presentations, and insights throughout NoTimeToWait 2026. As a Virtual Rapporteur, you will serve as an official note-taker and documentarian for the Summit. You will capture key takeaways, speaker insights, audience questions, and recommendations generated throughout assigned sessions. Your documentation will help inform the Summit’s closing remarks, post-event reporting, and other legacy materials shared with participants, partners, and community stakeholders. This role is fully virtual, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in writing, journalism, research, communications, or advocacy who want to gain experience documenting a national youth health and advocacy summit. Key Responsibilities ● Capture real-time notes, key takeaways, and important insights during assigned keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and other Summit programming. ● Identify and document key themes, recommendations, audience questions, and notable speaker insights. ● Synthesize complex conversations into clear, structured, and easy-to-read session summaries. ● Organize and submit typed session notes using provided templates and documentation guidelines. ● Review and finalize notes following each assigned Summit day to ensure they are accurate, complete, and clearly organized. ● Coordinate with the Communications/Social Media Team to ensure important insights from livestreams and sessions are accurately documented. ● Work independently while maintaining regular communication with the LetsStopAIDS team. ● Flag important or time-sensitive information that may be relevant to the closing speech, communications, or post-event reporting. ● Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when documenting participant and speaker discussions.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
● Hands-on experience documenting a national youth health and advocacy summit. ● Practical experience in professional writing, rapporteuring, research, and event documentation. ● Direct exposure to conversations featuring youth advocates, researchers, health professionals, community leaders, and other Summit speakers. ● A Volunteer Reference Letter and Certificate of Completion highlighting your writing, analytical, and documentarian contributions.
