Key Responsibilities
● Coordinate the setup, distribution, and replenishment of meals, snacks, and beverages
throughout the Summit.
● Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized food service environment while following appropriate food safety and hygiene practices.
● Safely identify, organize, and monitor dietary accommodations and allergen considerations to help prevent cross-contamination.
● Receive caterer deliveries, monitor food and beverage stock levels, and organize storage areas to keep service running smoothly and on schedule.
● Support proper food handling, plating, serving, line flow, and cleanup procedures.
● Guide and support general volunteers assigned to food and beverage stations.
● Communicate clearly with staff, volunteers, caterers, and event organizers regarding food service ● Hands-on experience managing food, beverage, hospitality, and catering operations at a national youth summit.
● Practical experience in event logistics, food safety, dietary accommodations, and volunteer coordination.
● Complimentary access to the Summit, including lunch.
● A Volunteer Reference Letter and Certificate of Completion highlighting your contributions.
● Direct networking opportunities with nonprofit leaders, event professionals, healthcare advocates, and community leaders.
