Who Are We?

LetsStopAIDS, Canada’s largest youth-led HIV charity, has been accelerating the global HIV response since 2004. With over 15,000 volunteers and 10 global projects, the organization has impacted more than 300,000 youth worldwide.

About the Summit

NoTimeToWait is a two-day national summit where youth lead the conversation on the questions others won’t ask—demanding the right to learn, be heard, and take control of our health. Designed by youth, for youth, the Summit calls on us to take collective action because if we don’t fight for our future, no one else will.

We are looking for volunteers for this year’s Summit, taking place Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Polish Combatants’ Hall (SPK), 206 Beverley St, Toronto, ON M5T 1Z3.

Overview

We are looking for compassionate, attentive, and inclusion-minded volunteers to help create an accessible and welcoming experience for all attendees at NoTimeToWait 2026.

As an Accessibility Coordinator, you will support attendees with a range of accessibility needs, including mobility, communication, sensory, cognitive, and general event navigation. You will work alongside LetsStopAIDS staff to help implement accessibility accommodations, respond to attendee needs, and ensure participants can fully and comfortably engage with the Summit.

This is a meaningful, hands-on opportunity to apply your professional, educational, or lived experience in accessibility and support services while gaining event experience and building connections within youth advocacy, health equity, and accessibility spaces.

Key Responsibilities
● Provide light, respectful, and attendee-directed accessibility support throughout the Summit.
● Assist attendees with navigating the venue, accessible entrances, washrooms, seating areas, and other event spaces.
● Support the implementation of accessibility accommodations during programming and Summit activities.
● Help attendees navigate sessions, workshops, breaks, and other event activities as needed.
● Communicate with LetsStopAIDS staff regarding accessibility needs, concerns, or
accommodations that arise during the event.
● Help maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment for attendees.
● Respect attendee autonomy, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
● Work collaboratively with event staff and volunteers to respond to accessibility needs in a timely and appropriate manner.
● Jump in to support other event needs as required, while remaining mindful of your accessibility responsibilities.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
● Hands-on experience supporting accessibility and inclusion at a national youth summit.
● Practical experience responding to diverse accessibility needs in a live event environment.
● Experience contributing to inclusive event planning and delivery.
● Complimentary access to the Summit, including lunch.
● A Volunteer Reference Letter and Certificate of Completion highlighting your contributions.
