Volunteer crisis responder

After completing 36 hours of training and completing a Vulnerable Sector Check (provided by KHP), crisis responders help bring texters from a “hot” moment to a cool calm. This is done by supporting texters through active listening and empowering them to discover next steps. The texting service is 24/7 and available to people of all ages across Canada.

We are currently prioritizing the applications of people who:
- are interested in volunteering within our overnight period (11 p.m. – 7 a.m. ET) or;
-are fluently bilingual (in written French and English)
