Are you passionate about fighting climate change, learning about environmental issues, and making change in your local community? If so, the 2026 Youth Environmental Advocacy Fellowship (YEAF) is for you!
The 2026 YEAF is a 3-week long, virtual educational program for youth (aged 13-22), featuring various interactive, synchronous, and virtual workshops (led by environmental leaders such as professors, educators, non-profit leaders, etc.) that explore a variety of themes around water conservation and climate change. Fellows then work independently to craft a meaningful deliverable (in the form of global water issues research, a liberal arts project, etc.) to showcase their unique perspectives, ideas, and research.

The fellowship will run on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule from July 6th to July 17th, with these two weeks being dedicated to synchronous virtual workshops, and conclude with a final presentation day on July 24th (that is to say, the fellowship will run for 7 days total). Each day will run from about 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

This fellowship is completely free and open to anyone aged 13-22 within Canada. Applications are due by June 26th, 11:59 PM (EST). The link to apply is:

Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Earn 50 volunteer hours and a certificate of participation upon completion of the YEAF.

Fellows will be able to network with a variety of other like-minded peers, professors, and others keenly interested in environmental stewardship.

Fellows will develop their knowledge on various ideas of water conservation and climate change, including water policies, aquatic biodiversity, One Health, modern advocacy efforts, and more!
