Hands & Canvas
Hands & Canvas is a youth-founded, volunteer-led initiative based in Toronto that makes art more accessible through free workshops, creative activities, and donated art materials. We work with schools and community organizations to give children and youth opportunities to explore their creativity, build confidence, and connect with others.
Our volunteers help plan and lead hands-on workshops in activities such as painting, drawing, and paper-mâché. Through our Beyond the Studio program, volunteers also create artwork, colouring pages, handmade gifts, and art kits to share with community organizations and the people they support.
We welcome high school students, university students, and adults who want to share their time and creativity. Many roles require no previous art experience; just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to help make creative opportunities available to more people.
