Leading the Movement to End Suicide and Stop Mental Illness - Administrative Co-Founder
Ongoing
Imagine waking every morning with the confidence and contentment of knowing you led the movement that ended suicide and stopped mental illness. You could face every day knowing nothing is beyond your reach. Joining Family Shed means finding the ultimate in Belonging and Purpose: Leading others into being their best selves. The real one percent. Did you know there is a “one percent” in everything? The top one percent of carpenters, brain surgeons, truck drivers, and even parents. Pop culture puts the focus on the top one percent of money earners, but we all know money never buys happiness. Oh, it makes it easier, for sure. But you can never be happy without Purpose and Belonging. That’s what you can find in Family Shed and help others find it, too. Now, to be fair, Family Shed asks a lot of anyone who wants the greatest reward on earth. This position requires co-founder energy. The Family Shed Program has been successfully running since 2024. Now it is ready to grow, and grow quickly, to encompass the geographic area covered by 32CBG. That means covering from Oshawa to Barrie and around the Golden Horseshoe to include all of the Niagara Peninsula. This is no passive assistant role. You will be actively helping to build the Restore Legion Stewardship Program, the Building Toronto Program, the Canadian Identity Podcast, and more than a dozen other programs. So let's make sure you understand what Family Shed is and does. Family Shed supports soldiers and veterans as leaders in resilience, strength, and character by showing them how to design and lead programs in their communities. We need an intelligent, capable Administrative Co-Founder to become the right hand to our founder, Rev. Conrad Hall. We are explicitly looking for an experienced leader—ideally retired (or semi-retired) with a full career behind you—who wants to help a relationship-based organization expand around the Golden Horseshoe and beyond. This volunteer position is intended to grow into a paid role. What will make that possible is your success in helping us build an effective organization.
