CompanionLink
CompanionLink is a Canadian charitable organization dedicated to reducing social isolation among seniors through meaningful, one-to-one connections with trained volunteers. Our mission is to improve the wellbeing of older adults by creating consistent, supportive relationships that foster companionship, dignity, and a sense of belonging.
We work in partnership with seniors’ housing providers, healthcare organizations, universities, and community agencies to identify seniors who would benefit most from social connection and to recruit and train volunteers who are passionate about making a difference. Through our structured Befriending Program, volunteers are carefully matched with seniors and commit to regular weekly connection, either by phone, video, or in person, depending on the program and location.
At CompanionLink, volunteers are not just helpers — they are at the heart of our mission. By giving their time and empathy, volunteers help seniors feel seen, heard, and valued, while also gaining meaningful intergenerational experiences, building skills, and becoming part of a caring community focused on connection and inclusion.
Our vision is a future where no senior feels alone, and where communities are strengthened through relationships across generations. When you volunteer with CompanionLink, you become part of a growing movement to create lasting social impact, one connection at a time.
