Community Cats Toronto

Community Cats Toronto is a founding member of the Toronto Feral Cat Coalition and works with the City of Toronto to operate a successful Trap Neuter Return program that has reduced the number of cats living on the streets and entering shelters each year. We teach a monthly Trap Neuter Return certification course that is a prerequisite to using the free spay-neuter clinics that are part of the program. We also collect data on colonies around the city that are actively being TNR'ed or have been completed. This allows us to measure the success of the program. Since the program was founded in 2010, more than 10,000 cats have been spayed and neutered, and feline surrenders and euthanasia in the City operated shelter has also dropped significantly.
