Use your vehicle to make a difference. Mileage reimbursement. Cell phone reimbursement. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Support children, youth and families across the GTA as a Volunteer Driver with the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto. Based on your location and availability, this may include Toronto, York, Durham, Peel and beyond. In this role, you’ll provide transportation for children and youth, including transportation to family visits, foster care homes, residences and appointments. You’ve got the wheels. Help children and youth get where they need to go. The role • Provide door-to-door transportation for children and youth • Ensure safety, including appropriate car seats • Assist with lifting bags and young children • Store and maintain car seat provided by CAST that you will keep throughout your time as a volunteer • Maintain confidentiality • Communicate with our staff and complete required documentation Interested or have questions? Additional Details & Skills Required
What you’ll need • A vehicle and valid Class G driver’s licence • Minimum 5 years of driving experience (does not have to be in Canada or Ontario) • Proof of insurance and a well-maintained vehicle • Ability to carry out role responsibilities • Willingness to attend training and supervision
