About the Surrey Art Gallery Association (SAGA):
• SAGA is an incorporated (as of 1984), not-for-profit organization and Canadian registered charity;
• SAGA's operations are fully based in Surrey, BC;
• For 36 years, SAGA has run a sustainable arts gift shop and art rental operation while supporting arts programming and art events in Surrey;
• SAGA relies on membership, donations and grants for our programs, and the operation of a Gift Shop and Art Rental service to continue; and
• SAGA serves as an independent advocacy group for the Surrey Art Gallery.

SAGA set as its constitutional purpose:
• To support the Gallery, its policies and its programs;
• To educate the public about contemporary art;
• To increase community awareness of the Gallery and its programs; and
• To initiate special projects to complement and support existing programs at the Gallery.

SAGA's programs includes presentations by local artists in person and online, competitive art events, a gift shop and annual art market, and an art rental program, plus collaboration with the Surrey Art Gallery to provide art based programming for the public.
