Town of Strathmore Canada Day 2025

Strathmore’s Canada Day Celebration takes place on Tuesday, July 1st, with festivities running from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Volunteer shifts:
Volunteers can sign up for one or both of our 
4-hour shifts.
- Morning Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Afternoon Shift: 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m

Roles we need help with:
Parking & Crosswalks
Keep things moving and safe by directing cars 
to parking areas and helping guests safely 
cross at designated spots.

Fishing Derby
Help out folks by handing out fishing rods, bait 
lines, and sharing a few tips (or cheers) while 
they try their luck.

Garbage Patrol
Help us keep the event clean and green! 
Check bins and pick up any stray litter 
throughout the event area.

Setup & Takedown
Lend a hand getting everything ready before 
The festivities start and help pack things up 
once the fun winds down. (Please note the 
actual event doesn’t start until 9 a.m. and will 
likely wind down around 3 p.m.)

Bouncy Castle
Help kids in and out of the bouncy castle, 
enforce safety rules, manage line-ups, and
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
The Town of Strathmore will be providing each volunteer with a T-shirt as well as a complimentary lunch. 

Volunteering runs better on a full stomach and 
we’ve got you covered.
• Start your morning right with a pancake 
breakfast served at the Firehall. [TIME TBD]
• Lunch is on us! Head over to the 
Strathmore Muncipal Building (room 103) 
for a midday meal
