Are you a first responder, mental-health advocate, or non-profit professional ready to make lasting change?

The Flare Initiative is a nonprofit organization shining a light on first responder suicides through research, data collection, awareness, and prevention. Our mission is to reduce first responder suicides through data-driven prevention and we need your help.

We are looking for motivated and driven individuals to join our Board of Directors. We have the typical roles of treasures and secretary to fill but hope you can bring many skills to help make a difference.

We value any time you can contribute to our organization however the minimum commitment is weekly meetings to start with as we are still building our organization.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
This is not just a role to maintain an organization, this is a chance to help shape the foundation of a new and important initiative to help change the way we see first responder mental health and have a nation wide impact.

Build your leadership experience in governance, policy, and strategic planning. Expand your professional network across emergency services, mental health, and public sector organizations

Flexible, remote participation.
