The International Children's Festival of the Arts is an exciting annual festival for kids of all ages in the heart of downtown St. Albert. Between Tuesday, May 29th and Sunday, June 3rd 2018, the picturesque banks of the Sturgeon River will come alive with theatre, dance, crafts, acrobats, musicians, and thousands of children and their families exploring the arts together.

2018 will be the 37th year of this Festival, one of the oldest of its kind in Canada. Programming is brought in for the Festival from around the world, with an emphasis on creativity, multiculturalism and magic. This year features performers from as far away as Cameroon and as close as Alberta.

The Festival is only made possible through the outstanding commitment of our hundreds of volunteers. With such a large and diverse core of volunteers, we also have a large and diverse collection of positions to fill. People are needed in all areas of the Festival, including food services, green team, ushers, craft assistants, registration and even cookie delivery! Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of six hours throughout the Festival. In exchange, they receive a variety of perks, including hot lunch, discounted admission to shows, Festival T-shirt, invitation to our exclusive volunteer wrap-up party and the well-loved, traditional dilly bar at the end of each shift.

Volunteer registration will be open for returning volunteers on March 8th, 2018, and for new volunteers on March 15th, 2018. Businesses, schools, or other organizations interested in volunteering as a group should contact volunteer headquarters directly at (780) 459 1522.
