Garden Volunteers
🌱 Garden Volunteer Duties Planting & Transplanting Sow seeds, plant flowers, herbs, and vegetables Transplant seedlings into garden beds or pots Weeding & Maintenance Pull weeds to keep garden beds tidy Maintain clean walkways and surrounding areas Watering Plants Ensure all garden areas are properly watered Use hoses, watering cans, or irrigation systems as needed Harvesting Pick ripe fruits, vegetables, and herbs Help prepare produce for donation, sale, or community use Composting & Waste Management Collect garden waste and help manage compost bins Separate green waste and recycling where applicable Mulching & Soil Care Spread mulch to retain moisture and reduce weeds Add soil amendments or fertilizers as directed Pruning & Deadheading Trim plants for healthy growth Remove spent flowers to encourage new blooms Assisting Others Support seniors or those with mobility issues in gardening tasks Share knowledge and enthusiasm with fellow volunteers Cleaning & Tidying Up Organize tools and supplies Sweep, rake, and keep garden shed or storage areas neat Participating in Garden Events Help with seasonal planting days, harvest celebrations, or workshops Promote garden activities and engage with visitors
