ABOUT US

Shea-Lynn's Butterfly Effect (SBE) is a small but growing charity focused on saving lives through seatbelt education and awareness. Volunteers are at the heart of our work, and with the right volunteers, we can support more families and expand our impact across the community.

OVERVIEW

School Program Community Ambassadors help bring our programs to life. Your presence, encouragement, and support create meaningful experiences for students and contribute to conversations that can positively influence attitudes, choices, and safety behaviours.

Whether welcoming participants, supporting facilitators, or simply helping things run smoothly, you play an important part in helping us reach more youth with our message. No formal experience is required — just compassion, reliability, and a willingness to be part of something meaningful.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•	Help set up and take down program spaces — tables, signage, materials, and displays
•	Welcome participants and guide them through program activities
•	Distribute program materials, merchandise, and resources
•	Assist with check-in and help manage participant flow throughout the session
•	Support the Program Facilitator as needed during delivery
•	Help create a welcoming, inclusive, and energetic environment
•	Take photos of sessions if comfortable (with participant permissions in place)
•	Share observations and feedback with the Facilitator after sessions

•	A warm, friendly, and genuine person
•	Dependable — you show up on time and follow through on your commitment
•	Adaptable and calm — you go with the flow when things change
•	A team player who takes direction well and supports the people around you

LOGISTICS

•	Based in Edmonton or surrounding areas
•	One‑year commitment (two preferred)
•	Flexible schedule with occasional in‑person event support
