Treasurer

The Treasurer is an elected member of the Executive Committee who is responsible for issuing cheques, co-ordinating with the President to deposit cheques, maintaining accurate financial records, updating the team on finances at each meeting, and assisting in budgeting for fundraising events. Our organization uses Wave software and online banking; the Treasurer receives training in both, with the financial services staff at the Library available for advice. The Treasurer is an active member of the organization, contributing enthusiasm, ideas, and library love at all of our meetings!

Members of the Executive Committee play an important role in the vitality of St. Albert Public Library, supporting its goals of literacy, leisure, and community-building for the St. Albert community. Volunteers will gain valuable insight into non-profit management, financial reporting and record-keeping, and the governance of St. Albert Public Library with regular updates from the Library Board.
