Are you passionate about libraries, literacy, and community building? This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in non-profit management and play a vital role in supporting the St. Albert Public Library. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the Casino Committee - Read and understand the AGLC’s Charitable Gaming Policies Handbook and ensure the Friends remain compliant with its policies at all times. - Attend meetings of the Friends and report on the activities of the Casino Committee. - Maintain correspondence with AGLC. - Coordinate other gaming and licensing tasks such as liquor licenses, raffle licenses, and 50/50 licenses. - Complete tasks related to the casino, which is scheduled periodically by AGLC. Information on tasks related to the casino is provided. Training through the AGLC's GAIN (Gaming Information for Charitable Groups) program is available for the Casino Chair and any interested Friends Member. An interest in learning is key! You do not have to be an expert to get started in this role. Must live in the St. Albert/Edmonton region. This is an elected position.
