About The Squamish Food Bank (The Market): 
The Squamish Food Bank, known as The Market, is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to redefining food access and equity. Operating as a grocery-store-style market. The Market aims to create a safe and dignified shopping experience for all community members experiencing food insecurities in Squamish, all while creating a positive impact on the local food system.

Position Overview: 
The Squamish Food Bank is actively seeking General Volunteers to contribute to our grocery-store-style market operation. As a General Volunteer, you will engage in various tasks such as rescuing and sorting food, stocking shelves, cleaning, and assisting clients during opening hours. On average, 6,000lbs of food is rescued each week and donated to the Community Food Hub at Under One Roof. 

Shift Times:
Various shifts available Monday to Saturday, including mornings and afternoons.

Additional Details & Skills Required
Training will be provided, and staff are always available to answer questions and troubleshoot problems.
Certification or Education Required
Proof of vaccination required.
Food Safe and First Aid certification are assets, but not required.
