BC Dementia Care Society

BC Dementia Care Society improves the quality of life for people living with dementia and their care partners by providing social, recreational, artistic, and educational support, services, and programs
We recognize the importance of raising dementia awareness, and through research and innovation, as well as the programs and services we provide, we promote dementia-friendly community and social inclusivity.
Examples of programs include Memory Cafe: Cowichan, Forget-Me-Not Pickleball, and Care Connection.

This society serves the BC population primarily, under the mandates of:
• Canada's National Dementia Strategy - prevent dementia and improve the quality of life of people living with dementia, and caregivers
• WHO (World Health Organization) Dementia-Inclusive Society - Dementia awareness, risk reduction, dementia as a public health priority, support and care for people with dementia and their carers, as well as dementia research and innovation
