The Resource Centre has been one of the Sunshine Coast's key social service providers since 1992. Our vision is to build a healthy and connected Sunshine Coast community for everyone. Our goal is to help people find the services they need to succeed in the face of life’s challenges, whether big or small. To do that, we locate information and share it to connect people to the organization that is best able to assist them. We offer these information and referral services in-person, by phone, by e-mail and through group presentations and workshops. There is no cost for our services.

We use a grassroots, community development approach to strategic planning, by starting out with comprehensive community consultation and needs assessment. We often work in partnership with other community organizations to improve the service offerings available to residents of the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. We are collaborative, empathetic, responsive, inclusive and respectful in our work.

We also offer a Resource Hub for volunteering on the Coast. The Volunteer Sunshine Coast is a coast-wide initiative that aims to promote a culture of volunteerism and supporting recruitment efforts. For more information about all the organizations on the Coast that offer volunteer opportunities, please check out our website or email us at volunteersc@resourcecentre.ca. to ask questions or join our mailing list.
