Call Centre Volunteer - Chinese Radiothon

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) Foundation’s annual Chinese Radiothon has become a signature event within the Chinese community in Scarborough and beyond. Each year, the Chinese community comes together to support the critical healthcare services provided by SHN’s hospitals. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, this annual event has raised over $1.7 million for Scarborough hospitals - Birchmount, Centenary, and General. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us in the call centre.

DETAILS 

Date: Friday, April 17th, 2026

Time: Morning (7am-12pm) and afternoon shifts (12-7pm) 

Location: SHN Foundation office at General Hospital (314-3030 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1P 2T7)  

Parking: Free (ticketed with validation voucher provided) 


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Answer phone lines from donors (most of which are Chinese, so fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is strongly recommended) 

Collect information and fill out donation forms 

Commit to one of the two shifts available
