Recruiter Team Leader (Remote, Part-Time)

Time Commitment: 8 to 12 hours per week total. Duration negotiable, four month minimum.

Founded in response to poverty-driven euthanasia among Canadians with disabilities, we are building systems that help people remain connected to preferable living futures. Our work includes developing Continuity Service, Continuity Insurance, Social Brokerage, and Corporate Farming—initiatives designed to create long-term support, financial sustainability, and organizational innovation.

------ ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a volunteer Recruiter Team Leader to oversee a team of volunteer recruiters and ensure recruitment operations are effective, organized, and consistent.

This leadership role is responsible for team performance, roster management, onboarding, accountability, and coordination with the HR Department Head and other internal teams.

Training will be provided on our recruitment process, role templates, applicant tracking workflow, onboarding procedures, performance expectations, reporting relationships, and collaboration tools.

------ RESPONSIBILITIES
-- Lead and manage a team of volunteer recruiters.
-- Maintain the recruitment team roster and replace inactive or non-performing volunteers as needed.
-- Foster a positive, respectful, and high-performance team culture.
-- Ensure recruiters follow organizational standards and recruitment procedures.
-- Support onboarding and training of new recruiters.
-- Clarify questions regarding training materials and recruitment workflows.
-- Coordinate with HR and administrative teams.
Monitor recruitment progress and maintain accountability across the team.

------ QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
-- Recruitment, HR, talent acquisition, candidate screening, team leadership, or related experience.
-- Experience leading, supervising, coaching, or managing recruiters, recruitment teams, volunteers, or staff.
-- Ability to assess performance, enforce standards, address underperformance, and replace non-performers when needed.
-- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-- Strong organization, time management, and roster-management skills.
-- Comfort working remotely with a high degree of ownership, authority, judgment, and follow-through.
-- Familiarity with Google Workspace, shared calendars, Slack, and basic applicant tracking workflows.
-- Ability to oversee multiple open roles and candidate pipelines while maintaining professional discretion and reliability.

Preferred:
-- Experience recruiting volunteers, non-profit staff, startup teams, or mission-driven candidates.
-- Experience managing a recruiter or talent acquisition team.
-- Experience writing or improving job ads and recruitment workflows.
-- Experience onboarding new team members into remote organizations and resolving training issues.
-- Experience working in a remote non-profit, startup, or mission-driven organization.
-- Interest in building a large-scale, high-performance volunteer organization.

------TIME COMMITMENT
This role requires 8–12 hours per week. It is well suited to someone who enjoys leadership, team development, and helping build a high-performing volunteer organization.
