Recruiter - Talent Acquisition Specialist (Remote, Full Time)

Location: Remote (United States, Canada or Europe)
Time Commitment: Full-time volunteer commitment, 35 hours per week. Duration negotiable, four month minimum.

This is a remote volunteer opportunity with Right to Live Canada, a virtual-office based Canadian non-profit start-up.

------ THE MISSION
Right to Live Canada is a Canadian non-profit start-up working to make the right to live a practical, supported, and executable choice. We are building systems and programs to support preferable living futures.

------ ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Volunteer Recruiter to manage the end-to-end volunteer recruitment process, including:
-- Posting volunteer opportunities on LinkedIn and volunteer platforms.
-- Reviewing and screening applications.
-- Conducting or coordinating interviews.
-- Supporting candidate selection and communicating with applicants.
-- Maintaining applicant records and recruitment pipelines.
-- Supporting onboarding of accepted volunteers.
-- Working closely with the Executive Director and organizational leads.
-- Helping train additional volunteer recruiters as the team grows.

Training will be provided on our recruitment process, interview structure, screening standards, and tools.

------ QUALIFICATIONS
Universal Requirements:
-- Good video and audio equipment for virtual meetings.
-- A quiet, dedicated environment where you can give virtual meetings your full attention.

Required:
-- Experience in recruitment, HR, talent acquisition, or candidate screening.
-- Experience sourcing, evaluating, interviewing, and communicating with candidates.
-- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-- Excellent organization, time management, and follow-through.
-- Ability to manage multiple roles and candidate pipelines.
-- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
-- Familiarity with Google Workspace, shared calendars, Slack, and applicant tracking workflows.
-- Professional judgment and discretion when handling applicant information.

Preferred:
-- Volunteer, non-profit, or startup recruitment experience.
-- Experience writing job advertisements or improving recruitment processes.
-- Experience onboarding remote team members.

------  TIME COMMITMENT
This is a full-time volunteer role requiring a minimum of 35 hours per week. The role suits someone comfortable with high responsibility, startup intensity, and a strong commitment to Right to Live Canada’s mission.
