News Tracker (Remote, Part Time, Team - Multiple Openings)

Help Us Stay Informed—Support Canada’s Disability Community!

Right to Live Canada is seeking detail-oriented and curious volunteers to serve as our News Trackers. In this remote role, you’ll monitor Canadian news daily and spotlight the stories that matter most to people with disabilities. Your work will help inform advocacy, resource sharing, and empower our community with up-to-date, relevant information. This role will support our social media team for content, inform our research team of potential leads for in-depth research and report generation, and update our advocacy focus group on opportunities add our voices to help make a difference. You'll be on the frontlines, ensuring our organization stays up to date, relevant and adapting to trends, opportunities and areas of need.

This role would be excellently suited to University students in various fields, though all are welcome.

------ What You’ll Do:

- Track Canadian news sources and digital platforms for stories impacting the disability community
- Curate and summarize the most relevant articles for internal reports or public updates
- Research and provide additional context on emerging disability-related topics, legislation, and services
- Coordinate with your team and team manager to guide work and scope
- Work with our team to ensure timely and accurate information is shared with stakeholders and the public
