Ongoing
------ The Opportunity Build and lead a national revenue engine to stop poverty-driven euthanasia in Canada. Right to Live Canada is a lean, impact-focused nonprofit on a mission to fight poverty-motivated Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) and poverty-driven suffering amongst Canadians with Disabilities. Our planned flagship fundraising effort — Tap for Dignity — will deploy contactless donation units across Canadian businesses to fund food and emergency relief programs for Canadians with disabilities. We are looking for a strategic, operations-minded leader to take full ownership of the TipTap initiative. This is a rare opportunity to found and lead an entire revenue-generating department — from building workflows and systems to managing volunteers and scaling nationally. ------ Your Mandate As the Founding Director, you will provide the strategic vision, operational leadership, and managerial oversight for the entire "Tap for Dignity" lifecycle. You will be responsible for: - Strategic Leadership: Oversee and execute the program's strategic plan, setting goals, and establishing priorities for the entire volunteer team. - Team Building & Management: Recruit, train, and lead a dedicated team of volunteers, including Leads Researchers, Sales Representatives, Installers, and Campaign Managers. - Operational Excellence: Develop and refine the operational workflow, from lead generation and partnership acquisition to installation and ongoing relationship management. - Performance & Growth: Drive the program's success by monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing data for optimization opportunities, and making strategic decisions to maximize fundraising returns. - High-Level Relationship Management: Act as the senior point of contact for key corporate partners, fostering strong relationships and securing long-term support. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Right to Live’s internal teams, including accounting, marketing, and research, to ensure seamless integration and reporting. ------ The Impact You Will Drive: The funds you and your team raise will be directly allocated to two life-sustaining programs: - Fighting Food Insecurity: Providing essential food support to impoverished Canadians with disabilities who are struggling to survive on provincial assistance. - The 'Right to Live' National Emergency Fund: Establishing a crucial financial safety net for individuals considering Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) due to the suffering caused by poverty, offering them a tangible alternative and a path to renewed hope. ------ Who We Are Looking For (The Ideal Candidate): We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of leadership and a passion for our cause. You are a self-starter who thrives on building systems, leading people, and achieving measurable results. ------ Necessary Experience & Abilities: -Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrable experience in program management, department leadership, or project management, preferably in the non-profit, sales, or business development sectors. - Sales & Partnership Acumen: Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, partnership development, and relationship management. Experience securing corporate sponsorships or partnerships is a significant asset. - Volunteer Management: Experience recruiting, motivating, and managing teams, particularly in a volunteer capacity. - Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to think strategically, analyze performance data (e.g., from platforms like the TipTap dashboard), and implement data-driven improvements like A/B testing. - Exceptional Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple moving parts, from logistics and procurement to volunteer coordination and partner communications. -Tech Savvy: Comfortable using and overseeing teams that use CRM software (HubSpot), Google Workspace, and other digital tools. -Mission Alignment: A deep and genuine passion for supporting vulnerable Canadians and a belief in the mission of Right to Live.
