Organization: Right to Live Canada Location: Remote (Canada, United States, or Europe) Time Commitment: Full-time volunteer commitment (35 hours/week minimum), four-month minimum (duration negotiable) Right to Live Canada is a virtual-office based Canadian non-profit start-up working to realize the right to live as a practical, supported, and executable choice. Our work began in response to cases of poverty-driven euthanasia among Canadians with disabilities, where individuals seek MAiD due to the absence of essential supports required to continue living. We are building Continuity — a service, financial, technological, and institutional framework designed to help people remain connected to preferable living futures. Our core areas include Continuity Service, Continuity Insurance, Social Brokerage, and Corporate Farming — developing scalable systems, partnerships, and initiatives that support the right to live. ------ ROLE DESCRIPTION Right to Live Canada is seeking a Deputy Director for the Global Narrative Integrity Team. This is a high-responsibility volunteer leadership role supporting executive operations, organizational coordination, and team effectiveness. The Deputy Director works closely with the Head of Global Narrative Integrity to translate strategic priorities into effective daily operations. The role involves coordinating workflows, supporting department leaders, improving systems, and ensuring teams remain aligned with organizational goals. The successful candidate will help oversee operations across Editorial Operations, Media Intelligence, Research & Evidence, Editorial Outreach, Public Affairs, Digital Operations, Knowledge Management, and Strategic Communications. ------ KEY RESPONSIBILITY -- Oversee daily operations of the Global Narrative Integrity Team. -- Coordinate activities across departments to support consistent execution of priorities. -- Assist with workload planning, resource allocation, and operational improvements. -- Track projects, timelines, deliverables, and organizational milestones. -- Facilitate communication between executive leadership and department managers. -- Support volunteer onboarding, mentoring, and performance development. -- Coordinate leadership meetings and operational planning sessions. -- Develop internal procedures, documentation, and scalable workflows. -- Identify operational challenges and support solutions. -- Help build systems that support future organizational growth and volunteer expansion. ------ QUALIFICATIONS Required: -- Experience in operations management, project coordination, nonprofit administration, organizational leadership, or related fields. -- Experience coordinating teams and managing multiple workflows. -- Strong written and verbal communication skills. -- Excellent organization, planning, and time-management abilities. -- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote environment. -- Strong collaboration, leadership, and interpersonal skills. -- Professional judgment and ability to handle organizational information responsibly. -- Commitment to approximately 35 hours per week. Preferred: -- Experience with nonprofits, startups, or mission-driven organizations. -- Experience improving workflows, implementing operational systems, or managing projects. -- Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Airtable, --- Asana, or similar platforms. -- Experience supporting remote teams and volunteer-based organizations. -- Interest in evidence-based communication, public affairs, and organizational development. ------ TIME COMMITMENT This is a full-time volunteer role requiring a minimum commitment of 35 hours per week. Right to Live Canada is an early-stage, founder-led organization pursuing rapid national and global expansion.
