National Database Management Team - Canada

ElderDog Canada is a 100% volunteer-run, national charity dedicated to ageing people and
ageing dogs. As a nation-wide organization, ElderDog chapters (Pawds) operate in
communities across the country under the umbrella of a centralized organizational structure.

With a commitment to the protection of privacy and data storage as well as data accuracy, we have two Database Managers who work together to ensure that all records are kept accurate and current. With the growth of our organization, we are ready to welcome a new member to the management team.

This position has a regular but flexible time commitment and can be carried out anywhere
with an Internet connection. As a member of the Database Management Team you would be part of ElderDog Canada’s National Team and work closely with the Executive Director and members of each Pawd executive. The Team members work on a 7-day weekly rotation basis.

The database platform used is Filemaker Pro Cloud version.

Responsibilities (mentoring and ongoing support provided)
As a member of the National Database Management Team, you would:
• work in conjunction with the National Volunteer Coordinator Team and all Pawd
Coordinators to update and maintain data and information related to the operations of
ElderDog Canada;
• track all data sheets for the Rehoming Program and update the database;
• track all data sheets for the Dog Care Support for Seniors Program and update the
database;
• track and update the database of all volunteer applications forwarded by the National
Volunteer Coordinator Team;
• track and update the database of all Long Term Care registrations forwarded by the
Executive Director or Long Term Care Coordinator
• provide weekly database updates to National Office and to Pawd and National executive
upon request
Requirements:
• reliability;
• strong interpersonal communication and organization skills;
• commitment to working as part of a team;
• excellent computer skills;
• knowledge of or willingness to learn Filemaker Pro Cloud database platform;
• second monitor a definite asset for efficient use of time;
• responding promptly to requests in a timely and professional manner.
